Wedding Planner Recommendations

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Heather Archdeacon-Williams, and I am the Owner and Lead Planner & Designer for Defining Moments Special Events, currently based in Atlanta, GA and previously based on Florida’s Gulf Coast of 30A/Destin.  During my sixteen (16) years on the Emerald Coast, I had the pleasure of working with Todd Sparks and the entire team at GTS Entertainment.  I first met Todd while working at Cottage Rental Agency in Seaside, Florida.  At the time, GTS Entertainment was the exclusive wedding entertainment provider for weddings taking place in the town of Seaside.  I was hired as an Event Manager and within two years, I had assumed the role as the Director of Weddings & Special Events.  Although some changes were made when I began to restructure the department, GTS Entertainment remained constant, and they were invited to remain as a preferred entertainment vendor for Seaside Weddings & Events.  This was 100% attributed to their outstanding service & entertainment offerings, professionalism in the field, and willingness to adhere to the guidelines & policies set forth by the Town of Seaside and their Town Council/HOA Board of Directors.  Following my departure from Seaside seven (7) years later, GTS Entertainment remained one of my most trusted entertainment providers, and we continued to collaborate on wedding & special event productions for the additional nine (9) years of my tenure on the coast, as the owner of Defining Moments Special Events.  

Defining Moments Special Events is a boutique luxury event planning firm, with most wedding & social client budgets ranging between $75,000-$125,000.  As an event planner, a large portion of my professional & company’s reputation is held up against the preferred vendors that I choose to work with for event production.  Therefore, having full-service, fully vetted, allencompassing vendor partners is imperative for me.  Their service reflects directly back to my reputation.  This is why GTS Entertainment was my most heavily booked entertainment partner.  Unlike many other entertainment companies, GTS Entertainment provided (and still provides) a one-stop shop approach to entertainment bookings.  No matter what a client threw at me, envisioned, or dreamed, I knew that I could always count on Todd and his team to be the service provider.  From ceremony musicians to cocktail hour/party entertainment, to DJs, intimate bands & large-scale Motown/big bands, they had partnerships to make it happen.  Additionally, they were able to service many of my corporate clients with their talented audio/visual (A/V) providers, as well as with specialty experiential entertainment (ex: carol singers, karaoke, etc.).  Because of their large network of entertainment offerings, I could always keep an open line of communication with GTS and my clients, to best work within the event budget, for the best musical fit.  

The entertainment component of a wedding, social, or corporate event is so important to the success of the event, as it directly affects the overall vibe, atmosphere, and energy level for the celebration.  With GTS Entertainment’s attention to detail during the planning process, this was never left to chance.  They always oversaw their artists from start to finish, in collaboration with the client and the event planner.  From direct communication and Q&As with the planner & client, to detailed planning paperwork, follow-up, and partnership of itinerary preparation, they created a high standard of accountability for themselves and their entertainment acts.  Therefore, the client always knew they were getting the utmost professionalism and performance level from their entertainment act(s).
